My new NARS purchases – Night Series, Orgasm and Arabian Nights
Before moving to London I had only owned a single NARS item; the sheer matte foundation. I found it to be quite mediocre and NARS quickly fell to the bottom of my beauty wish list. It wasn’t until a shopping trip at Liberty in London to purchase some Laura Mercier that the NARS counter caught my eye. A few weeks later and I now have some beautiful additions to my makeup bag.
Limited edition NARS Arabian Nights palette – £33
This is not that much different from the Night Series but its much more dazzling so I couldn’t resist. There are three shades; black with red pearls, black with purple pearls and black with gunmetal shimmer. I can’t wait to wear them on a night out!
NARS orgasm blush – £21
You’d have to be living under a rock, or perhaps have your head in a paper bag to not know what the NARS orgasm blush is. With celebrities claiming it gives their cheeks a glow and magazines naming it beauty product of the year it is no surprise that the Orgasm blush is NARS best seller. It is also no surprise that I had to have it too. But, I actually found it to be very disappointing. The blush gives a natural peachy colour and it has a slight luminosity to it, but it does nothing more then a shimmery drugstore blusher would do. I’m going to give it a few more chances because so many of my friends have recommended it. With the British sun playing hide and seek at the moment I’ve started to get a lovely tan (plus with the help of a personal sunbed on cloudy days!) so I’m hoping it might look better on a warmer skin tone. I will update!
Limited edition NARS Night series – £37
I felt like the luckiest girl when this palette finally became mine. The heavily pigmented colour infused with glitter really does make the perfect shadow for your eyelids on a night out. These aren’t in trend with summers candy colours, but every girl needs some dark eye shadows to get that sexy sultry look – and darker colours always look more sophisticated! I’m not a fan of the Night Fairy shade as it’s a very odd texture, but the Night Flight and Night Breed are favourites already. It has to be said that I think the shades look A LOT better when wet and it seems to hold the glitter and shimmer for much longer, but thats if you want an intense colour.

I suppose I can officially say I’m now another NARS addict.
