Somerset is looking particularly beautiful right now. There are wreaths on every door, twinkling lights all through my town and quaint little markets selling homemade liquors and preserves in the centre. I absolutely love Christmas in the English countryside and it’s made even better when family members return home, like my sister Zoe who is the beautiful lady in these photos.
However rural living calls for more casual attire, and so the heels remain boxed up, snug and warm. I have been longing for some boots to wear in the countryside for a while now, so I was thrilled when I came across Clark’s Mariella Busby Chelsea Boots*. I instantly fell in love with the grainy leather, classic style and gorgeous dark tan colour which suits strolls in the country as much as city ventures in London. The boots cost £80 and are of outstanding quality, making these well-worthy investments! They also came in a black colour which was equally as gorgeous alongside a notably splendid collection of ankle boots to suit everyone.
With Christmas right around the corner, I gave these a rather tough durability and comfort test when I headed out to do some Christmas shopping. Having already owned Clarks shoes before, I was expecting ultimate comfort, something that is greatly needed when you’re rushing in-between shops, and back again. The boots withstood long periods of standing in queues, darting through crowds and on one occasion, sprinting to a shop five minutes before it closed. I was happy to say that despite all the pressure being on my little feet to get everything i needed, it was only my arms that ached by the end of the day. Tea and cake stop yes please!
Unfortunately for the last few days I have been rather poorly, so my sister kindly stepped in to model my outfit for me. By kindly I mean we negotiated boot borrowing terms of course!
