When this first came onto the scene, it instantly cemented itself as a Christmas essential. Whilst the original is still a familiar favourite on the big day, the Chocolate edition takes Baileys to a whole new level. Whip it into recipes, pour it over your mince pies (highly recommended) or just enjoy it as it is. It’s the crème da la crème of Christmas tipples.

One of the more unusual gins, Lavender makes for a surprisingly refreshing, sparky and moreish flavour. It’s a great choice for that person who works their away across the gin bottles at your local, no matter what bazaar and wonderful flavour is inside. If they’ve taken a liking to rose, Parma violet or even rhubarb gins, then they’ll like this one. It’s also looks a little magical don’t you think? Like it’s straight out of the potions cupboard at Hogwarts.

My family have always had Walkers shortbread around at Christmas time. We’re either nibbling on it throughout the count down or including it in one of those substantial dinners between Christmas and New Year.
